Nashville Day 3-5 - Downtown #2 and Vanderbilt University

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFHhqNQxrAg

Day 3-5 of Nashville Tennessee was definitely interesting.

Day 3 or Sunday July 7th, was the officers first day of workshops. from 9am to 3:45 we attended several 45 minute workshops. Some super exciting and fun, while others were review.

Day 4 or Monday, was pretty much the same. Only difference was that the workshops started at 8am not 9am. oh and the workshops were mainly for the state officer training or the leadership academy.

Now, Day 5 was the best and the majority of the video.

I Started off the day by competing! My competition was Entrepreneurship. I was to create my own business and make a complete business plan including financials and all. My business was an Interior Design Business called Concinnity Design. I thought I forgot my speech and didn't do well at all...I would have been happy with a silver. But, on the day we left, I found out that I actually got a GOLD!!

Later that day half of my chapter decided to head downtown once more. We experienced it like the locals. Walking around 5 or so miles and hitting the sketchy parts of the town. That's How I like it though...not always being touristy.

Then, we took a city bus to Vanderbilt University! Vanderbilt was incredible. An 8 story library and a beautiful campus. I wish I could go there!
Here are some more pictures!!

If you couldn't already tell, It was really green and lush there(:

We then continued to walk 3 miles from Vanderbilt to where the bus would pick us up which was in the tourist downtown area. how much time did we have to walk there? hummm....I think it was 15 MINUTES! yah we missed the bus. Plus it was so hot we all were slowly getting heat exhaustion.

After taking a filled taxi with Mandy in the trunk...we went to Shoneys! Shoneys is like sherries but in Nashville. I even got to try fried Okra which was really good!

The very last clip in the video, is of us on the city bus on the way to Shoneys. It was the airport shuttle bus. the driver gave us a FREE ride to the restaurant! can you say southern hospitality? In the clip he says he loves meeting wonderful people like ourselves. my friend Mandy then says we should give him and Idaho Potato Pin! It was awesome.
